Mason City Schools proudly welcome families from all over the world.  One third of our students come from homes where other languages and cultures are represented.  Our families come from more than 80 countries and speak over 70 languages.  Our learning community appreciates the rich cultural and linguistic diversity that our international families bring to our schools.  MCS staff strives to develop a culture and environment that embrace the wide range of student strengths, needs and identities.  We are proud of and grateful for the strong partnerships with all of our families.  A portion of our students meet the criteria to be identified and served as English Learners (ELs).
