MHS English Teacher Named Library's Writer-in-Residence

Mason High School English and creative writing teacher Kurt Dinan was named the Cincinnati Library Foundation’s New Writer-in-Residence on Friday, October 21. 

Mason City Schools is one of 433 school districts in the U.S. and Canada being honored by the College Board with placement on the 7th Annual AP® District Honor Roll for increasing access to AP course work while simultaneously maintaining or increasing the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher on AP Exams.

Mason Middle School Band Director Zach Hinson received the 2017 ​American School Band Directors Association (ASBDA) Foundation's Outstanding Potential Award for Young Directors.

This spring, Mason Early Childhood Center first grade Intervention Specialist Katie Brosnan and Mason Middle School science teacher Laura Tonkin were honored at the Area Progress Council's 30th Annual Project Excellence dinner at the Warren County Career Center.

Mason Middle School science teacher ​Jay Reutter was recently chosen as the recipient of the Celebrate Excellence Award sponsored by the Hamilton County Education Foundation. The award recognizes excellent professionals in public education.

The Mason Schools Foundation recently recognized two Mason educators for going “above and beyond!” Mason Intermediate School fourth grade intervention specialist Christa Yoda, and band director Dr. Micah Ewing were surprised with $200 mini grants and recognition in front of their students and peers.
